About the role
As a Sales Manager at COMET, you’ll be driving our growth by turning cold leads into meaningful collaborations. You’ll prospect startups, scaleups, and founders, spark conversations through smart outreach, and shape proposals with our design and tech teams. This isn’t about pushing deals — it’s about finding the right people to build with. If you love the chase, know how to sell without the sleaze, and thrive in fast-moving, creative environments, you’ll feel right at home here.
What You'll Do
- Actively prospecting and reaching out to new leads (startups, innovation teams, founders, scaleups, etc.).
- Cold emailing, LinkedIn outreach, and other creative tactics to spark conversations.
- Qualifying leads, booking discovery calls, and driving deals from first contact to close.
- Collaborating with our designers and engineers to tailor proposals and pitches.
- Tracking your activities in our sales pipeline and iterating your approach based on what works.
- Representing Comet in the digital space — in communities, at events, and anywhere potential clients are.
What You'll Bring
- Thrive on outbound sales — you enjoy the chase and know how to turn cold leads into warm opportunities.
- Have previous experience in sales, telesales, or business development (agency, tech, or SaaS experience is a plus).
- Are tenacious, target-driven, and ready to experiment and iterate.
- Communicate clearly and persuasively in English, and preferably an additional language (can be Hungarian but not a requirement)
- Are proactive, independent, and comfortable operating without hand-holding.
- You’re tech-savvy, curious about design and product building, and know how to ask the right questions.
- You’re familiar with tools like Apollo, Hunter, Instantly, or Lemlist, and you understand the value of keeping your CRM sharp and tidy.
